Ingredients:
- 6 slices sourdough bread
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven or Grill:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a grill pan over medium heat.
- Prepare the Garlic Herb Oil:
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Brush the Bread:
- Lay the sourdough slices on a baking sheet or a plate.
- Using a brush or spoon, evenly spread the garlic herb oil over both sides of each slice.
- Toast the Bread:
- Oven Method: Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Grill Method: Place the bread slices on the grill pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until grill marks appear and the bread is toasted.
- Serve & Enjoy:
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve warm with soups, salads, or as a side to pasta dishes.
