Mix until the sugar dissolves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the sliced beef in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preheat your smoker or oven to 180\u00b0F (82\u00b0C).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
